Good GRIEF, Charlie Brown!!!  I haven't been here in a long while!!!
So much going on in life - this year has simply flown past in a very uncomfortable blur.
I feel like I've been playing catchup the entire year.  I turned 40 this year and although I did have a lovely gathering of all my favourite family and friends, I haven't really acknowledged it properly yet. Well I guess there's still a little time left this year to do that...but there's still a lot on my plate before I can do that, so I'll just get through all that first!
Last year I put together my Son's Year Seven yearbook, and this year I am doing the same thing for my graduating Year Six Daughter.  It's fun, but stressful all at the same time. It's unpaid, so I'm doing it for the love and I do have to keep telling myself that!  I got there eventually last year and I'm sure I'll get there eventually this year.
Volunteer work and study has consumed me, and I'm hoping it's all paying off.

Anyway, here's a couple of photographs I have taken this year...hope you enjoy!

Having a Play

I feel like it's been ages since I took some time out to take some photos just because.
We received our sunny little Chuthings frock yesterday and so decided to go outside - into the 35' autumn heat - to take some photos of it.  Lacey got to wear the new frock and poor Gentle was stuck in the very steamy bear suit!!  Lacey spent the time tactfully trying to explain to Gentle why she got to wear the new frock and helmet.  Gentle wasn't impressed, but was very patient and listened carefully and thoughtfully to Lacey as she put forward her case.
Her reasons weren't very convincing surprisingly and we ended up having to promise Gentle that she would get to wear the gorgeous new frock as soon as Lacey had had her turn.

Junie Moon 10th Anniversary Exhibition

Yesterday, the last of the dresses were shipped off to Junie Moooooon!!!
It was very stressful and busy, and I didn't get done what I had really wanted to get done, but at least I did something!  I need to let it go now and just breathe for a minute!
Thank goodness for EIC post!  It really is a great service - very pricey, but I think well worth it!  Desperate times call for desperate measures!
I realised I didn't even take any decent photos of all the sets I sent off.
I did manage to snap some of the packages all sealed and ready to go!

I made an outfit for Gina's and my collaboration for the exhibition, and had to send that one off to Gina early, so that she could take some photos of it before she sent it off to Japan.  Her photos are beautiful!!
You can see them on Gina's flickr stream here;  https://www.flickr.com/photos/gina_baby/13622784225/in/faves-24742760@N07/

I took some of the two sets she chose from before I sent them off to her.
Here are my favs;

These are the snaps I took of the packages before I sent them off yesterday.  I'm still not entirely happy with my packaging, so I guess it's still a wip!!!  They're a lot nicer than the grey background I had before.  I'll keep on working on them though, and perhaps one day, I'll be nearly happy with them!!

...in a Rut.

Well, I'm posting today just a short note about my overwhelming feeling that I am stuck in quicksand and I'm really struggling to get out.  The Christmas school holidays found me battling to get out of bed each day, dreading the seemingly constant fighting that my kiddies were doing every day.
I know in reality that they weren't doing it constantly and I'm sure that my dark mood was definitely NOT helping the situation, and that the addition of a puppy to our family towards the end of the holidays didn't help with the amount of sleep I was getting.  And therefore I just couldn't seem to cope with it all.  I know a lot of us go through this and that we come out the other side, but it just seems to be a long time that I haven't experienced a sunny feeling and I'm worrying that I won't be able to for a long time yet.
Ok, I've had a little bit of a vent.  Definitely time to get off the net for a few hours, because I know it's not good for me!!
Need to compile a list of feel good, happy music.  And see if that helps.  Need to force myself to smile. Go sit in the sun and soak it up.  Cuddle the puppy.  See a couple of friends.

G♥Baby & Trio Collaboration

Well, after months and months of waiting, this amazing girl is on the bay, awaiting her fate.

Daisy Buchanan was a labour of love for Gina and I.  I had the most amazing experience working on her wardrobe and am very proud of how it turned out.  I made a new pattern!!  And it is one I will continue to use, as it is so very versatile and fun to play with.

Gina's custom work always amazes me and Daisy is no exception.  She is so gorgeous and I think, perfectly reminiscent of the Daisy from Baz Luhrmann's recent cinematic version of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.  She is over the top, pouty and beautiful.
